Carolyn Howard

Carolyn Howard, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born December 20, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. Carolyn had worked at River Valley Behavioral Health, enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Carolyn enjoyed going to the beach and her trips to Florida and Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mildred Parks.

Surviving are her children, Kim Harris and husband Joe of Owensboro, Shelly Whitaker and husband David of Owensboro, and Chris Howard and wife Kristina of Gig Harbor, Washington, her former husband, James "Tooter" Howard of Whitesville, and 11 grandchildren, Eric and Alyssa Montgomery, Colin, Tyler, and Derrick Harris, Garrett and Bryson Howard, David Pinkston, and Olivia and Brad Whitaker, and Jake Miller, her brothers and sisters, Bernard (Sherry) Parks, John (Nancy) Parks, Nona (Robert) Wilkison, and Nolan Parks, all of Chillicothe, Missouri, Sheriff Tom Parks of Brookfield, Missouri, and Mike Wiggins of Kansas City, Kansas.

Services will be Noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 10:00-12:00 Friday at the funeral home.
