Cassie Douglas

Cassie Mae Douglas, 90, of Owensboro departed this life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at home surrounded by family.

She was born In Sorgho, Kentucky. Cassie was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Kitchen Committee and the Sunday School Department, until her declining health.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Paul Douglas; four brothers, William, John, Matthew and James Hanley; four sisters, Lou Anna Saucer, Idella Hatchett, Virginia Robinson and Rosetta Bryant.

Cassie leaves to cherish her memories and mourn the loss of her passing, four sons, Carlene Crite Jr., Jerry (Contrina) Robinson, Tony (Amy) Douglas and Shelley Wayne Douglas and his companion, Billie Roberson; two daughters, Paula Mae Douglas and Carla Rose Douglas; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Family wishes to thank, Mr. Delbert Hatchett and Mrs. Sallie Butler for their input in helping with the funeral arrangements.
