Catherine Beaven

May 7, 1931 — December 9, 2018

Catherine Marie Beaven, 87, of Owensboro passed away peacefully Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home. She was born May 7, 1931 in Breckinridge County to the late Ed and Margaret Henning. After graduating high school, she moved to Owensboro where she worked for General Electric (later MPD), retiring after 40 years of service. She loved travelling with her husband to stock car races all over the south; enjoyed long walks; and especially loved family gatherings. Catherine was a devout Catholic and a long-time member of St Stephen Cathedral where she was very involved in the life of the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Beaven; a son, Keith Beaven; a brother, Paul Henning; and a sister, Mary Rita Henning Turpin.

Surviving are sons, Gary Beaven (Debbie), Jim Beaven (Candy), and Tracy Beaven (Jennifer); a daughter, Brenda Marshall; a brother, Martin Henning; grandchildren, Angie, Amanda, Alicia, Brandon, Clementine and Chad; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece; and several nephews.

Funeral mass will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, December 12 at St. Stephen Cathedral where visitation will be from 10:30 AM until Noon. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
