Charles Wolfe Jr

Charles W. Wolfe Jr., 75, of Owensboro passed away Monday, March 26 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Charles was born March 16, 1943 in Owensboro to the late Charles Sr. and Elizabeth Carrico Wolfe. He was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. When he was honorably discharged, March 19, 1971, Charles was transferred to the Department of Defense. He worked there as a Systems Administrator until his retirement. Charles was a member of Owensboro Church of Christ and enjoyed the lighter side of life with fishing.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Sherry R. Wolfe; a daughter, Stacy Rae Wolfe; and his brother, Jerry Allen Wolfe.

Charles is survived by sons, Jon Charles Wolfe (Brenda) and Spencer Wolfe (Anne); grandchildren, Ehric Wolfe, Jared Charles Wolfe, Emma Rae Wolfe and Jayla Marie Wolfe; sister, Judith Mattingly (Al); brothers, Greg L. Wolfe (Debbie) and Samuel Thomas Wolfe (Mary Gayle); and sisters-in-law, Pat Wolfe, Reba I. Ray and Theresa Ray; several loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12:00 PM Friday at Owensboro Church of Christ with Pastor Jimmy Bunch officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 until 11:30 AM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
