Cheryl Anna Bellew, 74, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky gained her angel wings on Monday, January 29, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1943 in Veedersburg, Indiana to the late Edward J. Letterman and Aldine Ahrens Letterman. Cheryl was retired from the American Veterans Post #75 where she worked as a Bartender for thirty years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary AMVETS where she was active with many charity events.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Cox and Stephen Cox; two sisters, Sandra Sue Siddons and Judie Mulzer; and one great-grandson, Gavin Dodson.
Survivors include seven children, Ty (Connie) Dodson of Owensboro, Mona Embry (Leslea Chance) of Texas, Sandi Embry (Alan) Rowe of Beaver Dam, Donna Carden of Fordsville, Teresa Embry of Ohio, Marty Embry of Narrows and Tommy Embry of Owensboro; sixteen grandchildren, Michael Dodson, Amanda Dodson, Lydia Rowe, Atlyss Chance, Angela Coffman, Alexis French, Chris Embry, Katrina Vincent, Brianna Embry, Zach Embry, Allison Embry, Brandon Embry, Scotty Carden, Jessica Lindsey, Bessie Bradshaw, and Nichole Jenkins; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother John Letterman; several nieces and nephews; and her loving furbabies, Bindi and Snickers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Cheryl's family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
