David G. Brown, 46, of Owensboro died suddenly on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was born on August 7, 1971 in Owensboro to the late William G. Beemer and Cynthia Hancock Basham. He was employed by Iron Workers Local 103. David lived life to the fullest and enjoyed anything competitive. He loved NASCAR, football, volleyball, and was an avid pool player and collector of coins, Zippos, and knives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace Hancock, Sr., and Mabel Fentress; and a stepson, Anthony Dickens Ezell.
Those left to mourn his loss include his wife, Dana Dickens Brown; a son, Zachary (Kathryn) Brown; a stepson, Devon (Candace) Dickens; a granddaughter, Sutton Elizabeth Brown; a step-granddaughter, Skylar Ezell; his grandmother, Beverly Hancock; his brothers, Jarred (Samantha) Brown, and Brandon (Krystal) Brown; uncles and aunts, David (Debbie) Hancock, Wally Hancock, and Tammy (Tom) Dunn; several close cousins; and his step-dad, David (Robin) Brown.
Services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home.
