Dorothy Ferguson Stinnett, 77, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her home. Born June 19, 1941 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of the late Buell L. and Nola Chapman Ferguson. Mrs. Stinnett was retired from KENTRON where she worked for more than 40 years. She was a very spiritual person and loved learning and reading about her Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Rex Stinnett, Sr.; sons, Howard Rex Stinnett, Jr. and Randy Stinnett; brothers, Glenn, Kenneth, Larry, Durwood, Roy Lee and Bernie Ferguson; and sisters, Eueldean Lyons, Goldie Clayton, and Margie Wedge.
Surviving are children, Peggy Sue (Scott) Morris, Steve Stinnett, and Tony ( Vicki) Stinnett; a daughter-in-law, Paula Stinnett; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnie (Jo) Ferguson of Oklahoma; sisters, Ada Marie Stinnett of Greenville and Gladys Ferguson of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 12 noon Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
