Eddie Kelley, 77, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was a resident of Franklin, Indiana. He was born on January 1, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Charlie Kelley and Anna Lee (Purcell) Kelley. Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1967 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Specialist. He received an Associates Degree in Industrial Technology from Ivy Tech. During his working career, he was a truck driver, security systems designer, carpet layer and a salesman. He enjoyed dancing, traveling and loved being with his family.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Larry Kelley.
He is survived by sons, Jeff Kelley and Bryan Kelley; step-daughter, Michelle Pettijohn; granddaughters, Shelby Sibanda and Ciara Kelley; grandson, Benjamin Kelley; great-grandson, Vincent Alan Mercer-Kelley; great-granddaughter, Juniper Sibanda; sister, Connie Kelley; and niece, Laura Ann Kelley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, Indiana with visitation on Monday, August 22 from 3:00 p.m. to time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky.
