Howard Vernon Peay, 86, of Bowling Green died April 25, 2019 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. He was born on October 17, 1932 in Butler County to the late George Peay and Cordia Hammers Peay. He retired from UPS where he was a driver for over 30 years and was awarded numerous safe driving awards. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and loved to spend time with his family, hunt and fish, and bowl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Shelvia Peay; son, Howard Richard Peay (Janet); daughter, Tresa Ann Dickson (Richard); four grandchildren, Jeffery, Kevin, Brittany, and Greg; seven great-grandchildren, Miles, Gavin, Elise, Colton, Natalie, James and Piper; a brother, Ray Peay (Ella Mae); a sister, Augusta Wells; and many nephews and nieces.
Services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
