Jacquelyn "Jackie" Riggert Woodward, 80 of Owensboro passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at her home. She was born in Norfolk, NE, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Prast Riggert. Mrs. Woodward received her nursing degree from the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital School of Nursing. She spent her career as a Registered Nurse, retiring from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in 2008. She was active in TOPS Chapter 46 for over 40 years and was named the Queen for Kentucky. Following her retirement she served as a volunteer at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. An active member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Good News Sunday school class and participated in many of the programs and organizations of the church. Mrs. Woodward enjoyed traveling with Golden Partners. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond Bruce Woodward in August of 2017 and a son Brian Scott Woodward in 1968.

Mrs. Woodward is survived by her sons Brad Woodward and his wife Danielle of Owensboro and Kyle Woodward and his wife Molly of Bardstown; her grandchildren Brittany Woodward and Breanna Woodward; and her sister Sue Ellen Bate of San Antonio.

The funeral service for Mrs. Woodward will be 10 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Memorial Fund of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
