James Douglas

On Friday, September 7, 2018, James Hershel Douglas, at the age of 70, was called home by his Heavenly Father. He was born on October 15, 1947 in Maceo, Kentucky, to the late William Jackson Douglas and Mary Crite Douglas.

Along with his parents, James was also preceded in death by his sister Denise Douglas.

James leaves to cherish his precious memory four brothers: Robert B. Douglas of Owensboro, Kentucky, Wilbur L. (Sherrell) Douglas of Indianapolis, Indiana, Samuel E. (Karen) Douglas and Randall N. (Gail) Douglas, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; five sisters: Doris L. Turner, Mary L. (Rowland) Powell, Willie Mae Howard, and Alice M. Douglas, all of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Mildred L. (Michael) Graves of Summerville, South Carolina; one son: Terry W. Douglas of Owensboro, Kentucky; three beautiful daughters: Angela (Randy) Oliver-Spivey, Sherry (LeRoy) Douglas Elzy, and Danika Thomas, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; two step-daughters: Sherri Y. Lemon and Tyhesha R. Lemon; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
