Joseph Guy Hardy Jr., 84, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, December 28th, 2018. Joseph was born in Daviess County on June 12, 1934 to the late Joseph Guy Hardy Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Jackson Hardy. Joseph was of the Catholic faith and a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Joseph served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He was a 40-year board member of Daviess County Farm Bureau, was Daviess County Conservation District supervisor for 40 years, a member of the Daviess County Lions Club, and on the board of Daviess County Planning and Zoning. He loved tractor pulls with TNT and watching UK basketball.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ava Frances Westerfield, Rose Head, and Georgetta Simpson.
Survivors include his sons, Joe Hardy (Janet) and Bill Hardy; daughters, Beth Berry (Bob) and Jane K. Dunn (Victor); grandchildren, Nathan Berry (Carrie), Jared Dunn (Stephanie), Andrew Berry, Jacob Dunn (Kim), Elliot Berry, Jessica Riedesel (Kalum), Katharine Nordhagen (Matt), and Dawn Marie Hardy; nine great –grandchildren; sisters, Mabel "BeBe" Lindsey, Joyce Payne, and Gayle Hardy, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass for Mr. Hardy will be 10 am Monday December 31, 2018 at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 6:00 pm December 30, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with prayers at 4pm, with visitation Monday from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
