Joseph "Joe" Husk, 71, of Owensboro, Kentucky died December 22, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on November 23, 1946 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Hilary and Addie Bell Husk. He had been employed in concrete construction and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and loved going to Bingo with his brother, Sterman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Stevie Calloway, three sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shelby Husk; his children, Donna Deno, Karen Simmons (Gary), Theresa Hayden (Frank) and Katrina Dill (Barry); seven grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie, Gregory, Matt, Leigh Ann, Eric and Adam; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Sterman Husk and Chester Husk; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with Reverend Jerry Carter officiating. Burial with military honors is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10:00a.m-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
