Joyce Marie Henderson, 84, of Owensboro passed away on March 5, 2024. She was born on March 6, 1938 to the late Norman and Dorothy Sinclair Henderson of Owensboro, Ky. Joyce was a former secretary for American Airlines in Chicago, and the best hand-made bow maker that S.W. Anderson's in Owensboro ever had. Joyce was also a former employee at a local law office where she worked until she retired. Joyce was an avid reader and a very talented sketch artist that could work with pencils, charcoal or watercolors. She enjoyed spending time with her loving friends on countless trips to Brown County, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Henderson, along with several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her brothers Gary and Michael Henderson both of Owensboro; nieces, Tiffany Dixon and Nikki Henderson, both from Owensboro and Selena Henderson of Louisville; nephews, Brian Henderson of Hawesville, Andy Henderson (Audrie) of Whitesville, Gavin Henderson (Ruth) of Owensboro, Johnathan Henderson of Louisville, DeRay Bell of Owensboro; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.
Private burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
