Joyce Payne

Joyce Marie Payne, 77, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019. She was born in Owensboro on September 23, 1941, to the late Arthur and Ruby Travers. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed reading books and painting. Joyce loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Robert “Bob” Payne who passed away in 2006, her sons, James Robert Payne II, and Timothy Payne; daughter, Lisa Ann Payne; her brothers, Donald Travers, Bobby Travers and Arthur Travers.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lynne Bayles of Owensboro; grandchildren, Michael Lee Bayles, Taylor Nichole Payne and Kayla Cheyenne Payne; great grandson, Aiden Lee Bayles; and daughter-in-law, Robin Marie Payne.
Services will be 11 am Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. With Father Pat Reynolds officiating. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Monday, June 10, 2019, and again Tuesday from 10 to 11 am at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral home.
