Larry Haire

Larry O. Haire, 68 of Owensboro passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center. He was born October 13, 1949 to the late Preston Haire and Alma Shively Haire. Larry was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Larry served during the Vietnam War era and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Coca-Cola in Owensboro after 37 years of service. Larry earned an Associate Degree in Business in 1977 from Owensboro Business College. He loved fishing and watching UK and Louisville basketball.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Haire of Owensboro; his daughter, Michelle Elaine Drawdy (Scott) of Owensboro; his sisters, Linda Jollay (Larry) and Pauline Langdon (Michael) both of Owensboro; his brothers, Jerry Haire and Joe Haire (Ellen) both of Owensboro; his beloved toy Yorkie, PeeWee "PW"; several nieces and nephews.
The service will be 12 noon Friday, September 7, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Chaplain K.C. Klarner will officiate. The burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with full military rites. The visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday and 10AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
