Linda Sue Brown, 63, of Owensboro passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 2, 1955, in Daviess County to the late Nellie Mae Brown and Elmer J. Brown. Linda was employed at the Opportunity Center Workshop.
She was a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church.
She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, UNO, watching wrestling, drinking diet Cokes, but most of all she really loved to sing.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Artie Pearl and two brothers, Kenny and Elmer Brown, Jr; and a brother-in-law, Steve Best.
Linda is survived by one brother, Darrell (Sharon) Brown of Owensboro; three sisters, Judith (Donnie) Whistle and Sharon Gail Best both of Owensboro, and Carolyn Faye (Jimmy) Johnson of Island; a sister-in-law, Caroldene Brown; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and after 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Puzzle Pieces, 1521 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
