Margaret Westmoreland

Margaret Sharron Westmoreland, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Signature Heath Care at Hillcrest. She was born on February 21, 1940 to the late Thomas Larkin and Margaret Elizabeth Vowels Westmoreland. She retired from the State of Kentucky as a social worker after 24 years of service. Sharron was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church and loved her family and her family at Hillcrest. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Westmoreland in December 2016 and her nephew, Shawn Westmoreland in March 2011.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Kathy Westmoreland, of Owensboro, whom she thought of as a sister; one niece, Jenny Sullivan (Robb) of Tennessee; great-nieces, Haley and Molly Sullivan; great-nephew, Bobby Sullivan; two great-great-nephews, Hunter Sullivan and Aaron Riley, all of Tennessee; and a great-niece, Rebekah Westmoreland of Philpot, KY.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Kathy wants to thank the Hillcrest nurses and aides for being so sweet to Sharron. We love you all.
