Martin Leslie Wilson, born on Jan. 7, 1934, in Daviess County to the late Charles Leslie Wilson and Helen Grace Falloway Wilson went to his eternal rest on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church.
Including his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lois Bailey; a nephew, Jerrod Wilson; a niece, Leslie Polston; and a great niece, Gracie Fay Flurt.
He leaves behind six siblings, Ray (Patty) Wilson of Nashville, TN, Bill Wilson of Louisville, Nancy Vibbert of Clarksville, IN, Jerry (Rose) Wilson of Maceo, KY, Brenda (Ron) Shelton of Spottsville, KY and Carol (Rita) Wilson of Owensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martin was a retired carpenter and after retirement he greatly enjoyed landscape painting.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900. Arlington, VA 22202. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
