Mary Jackson

Mary Helen Jackson, 85, of Owensboro, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was born March 17, 1932 in Utica, KY to the late William Arthur and Louise Vanover Beard. Helen was married to Basil Jackson on January 28, 1989. She was retired and had worked at Westinghouse, General Electric, and M.P.D. Helen attended Walnut Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Dewayne Peercy, brothers, Arthur "Bill" Beard and Robert Leo Beard and wife Joan, and a sister, Genora Westerfield and husband James.

Helen is survived by her husband, Basil of 29 years, daughter, Brenda Hansen and husband David of Henderson, two grandchildren, Valerie Jones and husband Brian and Aaron Gibson and wife Tamara, three great grandchildren, Maddie and William Lewis and Julia Jones, three stepdaughters, Debbie, Sandy, and Robin, a stepson, Jacky, seven step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, a sister, Janice Teasley and husband Bill of Daytona Beach, FL, and nine nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 22, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with entombment following in the Rosehill Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday and after 8:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
