Mary Moseley

Mary "Rita" Moseley, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Golden Living Woodbridge Nursing Home. She was born February 1, 1943 in Daviess County to the late Herman and Nellie Williams Stinson. She was past madam president of the women's auxiliary of the AmVets and Eagles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clyde Moseley; siblings, Shirley Dean Chenault and Betty Joyce Hamilton; and her companion of 18 years, Doug McFadden.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Jennifer) Moseley; daughter, Beth (Mike) Wagner; four grandchildren, Rita (Jesse) Benzel, Sarah Wagner, Carrie Hearld, and Michelle Haag; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, James "Terry" (Phyllis) Stinson; and several nieces and nephews.

In compliance with health and public safety directives, private family services will be held at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Rita's funeral service will be available for viewing at 11 a.m. on Saturday at www.davisfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of visitation, there will be a drive-by caravan remembrance on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Davis Funeral Home. The family requests that you please come as you are and drive through. Due to safety directives, please do not exit your car, but you are allowed to roll down your window and show your support to Rita's family.
