May Mallory

May F. Mallory, 88, of Owensboro, Kentucky went to be with her Lord on February 13, 2018 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest in Owensboro, with her family at her side. She was born on May 7, 1929 in Butler County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Ferrell. She was a faithful and charter member of Crosspointe Baptist Church/Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and the homebound ministry she shared with her husband. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Joyce Ferrell, and sisters, Dorothy C. Shelton, Novie Porter and Alyne M. Hunt.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles Mallory; a son, Charles Brenton Mallory (Suzanne) of Owensboro; two daughters, Gwendolyn Kay Poston (Tom) and Pamela Gayle Clark (Tom) both of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Brian Mallory and Emily Poston; a great granddaughter, Olivia Buford; three step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; a brother, Vinyard Ferrell (Jean) of Quality, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Crosspointe Baptist Church in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro and from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
