Mildred Cecil

Mildred Jane Swihart Cecil, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Spencer County, IN to the late William Franklin Swihart and Ruth Mae Parker Swihart. Mildred and her husband were co-owners of Elmer's Creations and she was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and playing bingo.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Roberts (Mike); sons, Rocky Cecil and Larry W. Cecil; three grandchildren, Joe Roberts, Mark Roberts and Rebecca Spinks; seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Caleb, Axel, Sabrina, Mark Jr., Keeley and Ryder; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
