Philip H. Jenkins, 80, of Lewisport, passed away July 2, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 11, 1939, in Owensboro, to the late Lawrence and Naomi Jenkins. He served in the Marine Corps. Reserves for 5 years, and as a manager at Sherwin Williams. Philip retired from Commonwealth Aluminum and farmed both before and after his retirement. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where he had an ever-faithful church family. Philip loved the Lord, his family, and his beef cattle.
He was preceded in death by his brother, L. N. Jenkins Jr.
Philip is survived by his wife, Colleen Jenkins; daughter, Hope (Shane) Eans; sons, Zachary (Jen) Jenkins and Kip (Rachel) Dyer; sister, Sally (Dean) Richardson; grandchildren, Logan, Keely, and Philip Morgan Eans, Kimberly Pidcock, and Paden Dyer; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 2pm Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Rosehill Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
