Richard Miller

Richard "Doug" Miller, 75, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County on March 5, 1943 to the late Catherine Wedding. He retired from GE/MPD where he worked as a Master Electrician. Doug loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was in a Harley riding group. He was known as "The Sheriff of the Neighborhood", as he was often seen driving around the neighborhood in his golf cart.

Doug is survived by his wife, Patricia Diane Miller, and his children Stephanie Diane Ashton and Thomas Ashton, both of Owensboro. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Brookelyn, Corydon, Braxton and Madilynn.

Services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 16, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Bobby Meeker officiating. Burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, July 15, 2018, and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, July 16, 2018, at the funeral home.
