Roger Rhineburger

Roger Dale Rhineburger, 65, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his residence. Roger was born in Owensboro on September 15, 1952 to the late Vernon Douglas Rhineburger and Vera Dean Sapp Rhineburger. He worked for several years at Owensboro Brick & Tile and at Mendy's Kitchen. He enjoyed racing cars, fishing, his family, especially his grandchildren, hanging out at Mendy's kitchen, piddlin' around with his lawnmowers, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers Caroll Ezell Rhineburger and David Rhineburger, and his sister Diane Felty.

Roger is survived by his wife of 46 years, Vicky Sue Rhineburger, his children, Stephanie (Rob) Benningfield, Mendy (James) Embry and Glennon Beatreal, his grandchildren Tiffany Rhineburger, James Dale (Courtney) Embry, Robert Benningfield, Jr., Tyler Embry, Nicholas Peckinpaugh, Chelsie Benningfield, Hannah (Josh Fuller) Benningfield, Angel Benningfield, Jamen (Brooklyn Adkisson) Reynolds, Jasmine Embry, Jenna Embry, and great-grandchild Payzleigh Fuller. He is also survived by his siblings Terry (Zena) Rhineburger, Jerry Rhineburger, all of Owensboro, and Larry (Sandy) Rhineburger of Chicago, IL.

Services will be noon on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Kevin Green officiating. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, and on Monday from 10:00 am to noon.
