Roger Rogers

Roger Dale "Bear" Rogers, 65, of Owensboro, died on Monday, May 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1953 in Daviess County, KY to the late C.B. and Edna Varble Rogers. Dale had been employed for 19 years as a mechanic for Ashland Pipeline. He loved to fish, hunt and do woodworking and enjoyed working in the garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Gant.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth "Dootsy" Rogers; a son, Carl "Boots" Rogers and his wife, Liz of Owensboro; one brother, Bruce Rogers and his wife, Louise of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
