Thomas Coons

Thomas Monroe Coons, 84, of Owensboro, Kentucky died January 8, 2018 at Owensboro Center. He was born on December 27, 1933 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late William and Lillian Pagan Coons. He retired from L&N Railroad and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Caroline Coons on June 17, 2014; by brothers, Harry, Jim, Bill and Bob Coons; and sisters, Peggy,Virginia, Margaret and Elizabeth "Betty".

He is survived by his daughter and son, Beverly Grande and Steve Coons both of San Francisco, CA; a brother, Andy Coons of Florida; sisters, Martha Latham of Texas, Sarah King of Owensboro and Brenda Parrott of Florida; and nephews/caregivers, Jerry and Mike Langdon.

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
