Tony Curtis Bittel, Sr., 57, of Owensboro, passed away February 16, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 28, 1961. Tony was an adventurous man who loved camping, working on cars and off-road vehicles. He used his talents and creative mind to make parts for cars and did anything from fixing them mechanically, to painting them. Tony was a good Dad, awesome Grandpa and the best step-dad anyone could have. He was a rare breed that everybody loved, even when he was outspoken and honest about his feelings. He was planning to travel the world and was one who couldn't sit still, always looking for the next thing that needed to be finished. Tony is preceded in death by his father, James E. Bittel.
He is survived by his wife, Tambra Bittel; mother, Ann Bittel; children, Tony Curtis Bittel, Jr. (Amanda), Marilyn Ann Shelton (Glenn), Christopher Floyd Gould (Joy), Rina Ann Miley (Dennis); siblings, Mary Morris Bittel, Patrick Lynn Bittel, Ed Bittel, Eddie Bittel; step-sisters, Tina Nelson and Anna Dunn (Mike), nineteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. [
