William Litsey

March 3, 1928 — February 11, 2018

William Litsey, 89, of Owensboro, passed away February 11, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Whitesville, March 3, 1928, to Frank and Martine Litsey. He graduated from Whitesville High School, attended Transylvania College and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.

He married Virginia Quesnell in 1955. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah (Rowland) Davidson, and succeeded by wife Virginia; sons James (Lisa), Steve (Feliecia), and Byron (Lisa) and daughter Jennifer (Larry) Wedderstrand; sisters Jean (Bill) Fruge and Peggy Nolcox. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He retired from Ashland Oil Company, was an active member of Masonville United Methodist Church, and enjoyed his membership in the Masonville Board of Elders, meeting each afternoon at the Masonville Food Center, where he served a term as honorary Mayor of North Masonville.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Masonville United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be 3 pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Masonville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3 until 7pm Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will take place at Rosehill Cemetery.
